A sand art stall for your event, fair or school

Children drop in, choose a picture, fill it with coloured sand and take it home. It is a calm, low-mess activity that keeps families at your event for longer. We come to venues across Edinburgh, West Lothian, Midlothian and East Lothian, with Fife and Falkirk on request.

How the stall works

1. We set up a table with bowls of coloured sand and a choice of picture designs.
2. Children pick a picture, peel away the paper one shape at a time and sprinkle sand onto the sticky design.
3. They take the finished picture home.

Who we work with

School and nursery fairs

PTAs, parent councils and nurseries: Christmas fairs, summer fairs and fun days. Planning a Christmas fair? Read how a sand art stall works at a school Christmas fair.

Events and family days

Event organisers, company family days, community galas and fetes. Children and grown-ups can make pictures side by side.

Markets and shopping centres

A stand that brings families in and keeps them browsing.

Care homes and day centres

A calm, seated activity with big shapes and thick lines, at an easy pace. Ask us about regular sessions, or choose a drop-off pack from £98 for 10 pictures, delivery and collection included.

Key facts for organisers

• Set-up: about 15 minutes before you open, and about 15 minutes to pack away
• Space: about 2x2 m, indoors or in a tent or gazebo
• Ages: children aged 3 and up, younger ones with a parent's help. Grown-ups welcome too
• Materials: cleaned, child-friendly coloured sand. No paint, no glue, no water
• Safeguarding: children's sessions are run by a PVG-checked team member
• Supervision: we run the activity, not childcare. Children stay in the care of their parents, carers or your staff throughout
• Designs: they change with stock. Ask for a theme when you book and we will do our best, but we cannot guarantee it
